Memorial Biography

Hannah L Evans-Lutterodt, 89, of Christopher Lodge, Accra, Ghana, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, April 14th, 2024, at her home in Accra. She was born on January 22, 1935, the second daughter of the late Clarkson Thomas Nylander and Florence Nylander (nee Nuno). She spent her formative years in education at Accra Goverment Girls School, then Achimota Secondary School before graduating from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). In adulthood, Hannah she started her working life at the Ministry of Health, Ghana, and moved on to work with the Catholic Relief Services (CRS), a job she continued to work in until her retirement in 2004 from the position of Deputy Country Representative. Known for her smile and benevolence, Hannah formed lasting friendships with several people across diverse cultures and backgrounds. She loved giving good counsel, warm hugs and was loved across the board. She was a devout Christian and maintained an active Christian life, and her faith in God is followed by all her children. Hannah is survived by her three younger siblings, her four children, 9 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Her legacy is one of hard work, generosity, and a deep commitment to God and to those she loved. May she rest in peace, knowing she was dearly loved and will be forever remembered.
